Master Mike Kassebaum

I would like to take a moment and introduce myself. My name is Master Mike Kassebaum, I am happily married and the father of three children. I am recognized by the American Taekwondo Association (the largest single style martial arts organization in the world) as a certified SongAhm Taekwondo instructor.  I am also a certified Krav-Maga (the official self defense system of the Israeli Defense Forces and has been taught to hundreds of law enforcement agencies and thousands of civilians in the United States) instructor and a Kidz N Power (child safety and abduction prevention) instructor.

I have instructed for over 24 years.  I currently own and operate my main location in Bellevue, NE.  I over see schools in Fremont, NE, St. Joseph, MO, Omaha, NE, Gretna, NE and Elkhorn, NE.  I am a Regional Advisor for Nebraska and Kansas within the ATA and train over 1,500 students with in this area.  I have taught for Offutt Air Force Base security Forces, Lincoln SWAT Team, Omaha police officers, Doane College, University of Omaha, Metro College, First National Bank, and several high schools. 

I earned the title of National Weapons Champion in 2001 as well as several State Championship titles for Nebraska.  My academy has trained many local and state champions ranging from 5 years of age through 76 years of age.

I started martial arts in 1984, earning my seventh degree black belt in 2010.  I am a certified instructor in Krav Maga combatives, choke defenses, ground fighting, gun defense, knife defense, stick defense and the Protech weapons system, including single, double weapons, 2 styles of long staff, three sectional staff, cane and more.  I also hold certifications in Joint Locks, Pressure Point Control Tactics.  I am looking forward to earning the title of Sr. Master Instructor in 2011.

My school , Kassebaum’s ATA Black Belt Academy and Krav Maga Center, offers exceptional martial arts training, staff, and instruction.  My main location in Bellevue, Nebraska currently offers over 40 classes per week and has earned the “Excellence in Business” award for 2006 from the Better Business Bureau.  My academy is a proud member of the Chamber of Commerce, Better Business Bureau, American Taekwondo Association, Krav Maga World Wide and MAIA (Martial Arts Industry Association).
